Hamilton, Bermuda: Thursday, September 24, 2020 – Dr Kyjuan Brown, the creator of Dr Brown’s Laboratory, today announced the official release of a new dietary supplement for those looking to improve the health and vitality of their hair, skin and nails, from the inside out.
Seven months ago, Dr Brown, the Medical Director of Northshore Medical and Aesthetic Center (NMAC), began researching and conducting initial testing for a Hair, Skin and Nails Multivitamin. He said he developed the supplement - which contains various vitamins and minerals, including Biotin - with his patients in mind.
A graduate of the prestigious Welsh Institute of Dermatology at the University of Cardiff, Wales, UK, Dr Brown noticed his clients were constantly asking for recommendations for a good quality multi-vitamin to either grow hair, assist with brittle nails or heal acne.
“First of all, I saw a need,” he said of the inspiration behind the product. “I asked myself: ’Is this something my clients need?’ Then I scoured the medical research to find out which vitamins were important for the growth of hair, nails and skin.
“I started coming up with a formula and then sent it off to the factory to reproduce a first sample. We tasted the sample to make sure it was palatable and then sent it to a third party for additional testing to ensure it was effective and contained all the actual ingredients listed on the bottle. Once that was done the product was sent off for packaging and marketing."
The product finally landed in Bermuda earlier this month. It will now be available at various pharmacies Island-wide, including People’s Pharmacy, Phoenix, Warwick Pharmacy, Collector’s Hill Apothecary and Northshore Medical and Aesthetics Center.
Dr Brown said he designed the multi-vitamin to work in conjunction with other products in his Dr Brown’s Laboratory line, which includes a shampoo additive and hair growth serum.
“I always say you can’t bake a cake with just eggs and by that I mean when we’re trying to look at growing hair, skin and nails, research shows it’s more effective to have a multi prong approach. People may have already used the hair growth serum or the shampoo additive, but they may also need proper nutrients for the hair to grow and that’s where the Hair, Skin and Nail Multivitamin comes into play. I encourage clients to use all three to see best results.”
A busy doctor and entrepreneur, Dr Brown explained he’s been able to manage all the demands and stresses in his professional life thanks to “the grace of God”. “God gives me the ability to have the energy and stamina to come up with these products and also gives me the creativity to make it happen. As I tell young people, when they look at people in the community that they perceive to be successful, it comes with hard work and dedication. Nothing happens overnight and nothing happens just by sitting on the couch and doing nothing. It takes discipline and perseverance.”
